About the Friends of the
Dubuque County Conservation Board

The Friends of the Dubuque County Conservation Board was created in 2004 to aid the Dubuque County Conservation Board in its fundraising efforts. Any contribution made to the Friends goes to help local conservation in the Dubuque area.

FRIENDS MEETINGS
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Swiss Valley Nature Center, 13606 Swiss Valley Road, Peosta, IA 52068.  There are no meetings in July or August.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are countless opportunities to help us provide quality environmental education programs and recreational activities for residents throughout the Tri-States. 

Volunteers Can: 
Work on trails
Organize and help with park clean-ups
Monitor nesting boxes
Assist with programs and field trips
Raise funds for events or special projects
Newsletter / publicity
Staff the Nature Center
